Kelly Hiring Process

How can I learn about jobs available through Kelly?

There are a number of ways to search for a job:  1)  Respond online through the Kelly Career Network.  Access the Kelly Career Network through our AARP/Kelly home page "Search all Kelly jobs online" or by visiting KellyCareerNetwork.com.    2)  Locate a Kelly office near you through our AARP/Kelly home page and give them a call.  Depending on their current opportunities, they may suggest you review jobs online and respond.   Responding online ensures your resume (or the profile you provide) is entered into our resume database so that you will be searchable and considered for jobs that match your skills.

What can I expect when I call the office?

A Kelly recruiter or supervisor may gather information from you via the phone or they may schedule a time for you to come in to the office.   If there are no current  opportunities that suit your skills, the recruiter will probably spare your time by not encouraging you to come in at that time... but your resume (or the profile you provide) will go into the database so you can be considered for future opportunities.  The recruiter or supervisor may also suggest you look at our online Kelly Career Network to learn about opportunities.

How much time will I spend if I go in to the office for an interview/appointment?

You should expect to spend 1 - 2 hours in the office for an interview and perhaps longer if your skill set or potential positions require additional employment forms and evaluations.  You'll meet with a recruiter to review your skills, talk about your interests and goals.  Skill testing will be administered if appropriate for your skill set.  If you and the recruiter believe your skills are a match for current or future openings, you may be asked to complete our "Hiring" paperwork so that you're ready to be considered immediately for the positions that match your interests. Feel free to ask the recruiter or supervisor how long they expect you to be at the office.

What should I bring if I go to an office?

  • Please bring a copy of your most current resume.
  • Please bring 2 forms of identification so that the branch can complete employment eligibility paperwork, if appropriate.
